The buyers have gone back to the drawing board, trying to come up with something that will work for both of us. If they find a better financing setup, they'll write us another offer and we'll start over.
Meanwhile, we're off the hook. The house stays on the market and we're not out anything.
We're packing our fax machine, just in case.
And now we're off for a week's vacation. Maybe we'll get a better buyer in the meantime!
