I tried my first Kitchener stitch over the weekend. The first go-round I had to rip out. Somehow my stitches didn't line up and I had an extra one when I was supposed to be done. The second time around went much better. Can you tell where the seam is?
This is the first of eight squares I will knit to create a Christmas stocking for my niece. It's supposed to be reminiscent of a Victorian counterpane. I got to try my hand at bobbles and yarn-overs. I think it turned out pretty well, though I need to work on consistent tension so my squares look more square!
I also need to figure out how to take better photos of knitted work like this. The photo doesn't do the details justice.
