"I'm-calling-for-Joe-Blow-for-state-senate. Can-he-count-on-your-vote-on-Tuesday,-November-7?"
"I don't know anything about him."
"Ok, you're undecided then. This-call-has-been-paid-for-by-the-blah- -blah-blah-blah-blah-committee-"
"Is he running for re-election?"
"No."
"But you said he has a great record in the senate. Is he a congressman? A representative?"
"No."
"What does he do now?"
"I can't tell you that. I can't try to sway your vote."
"But how can you say he has a good record in the senate?"
"I'm just calling to ask if Joe-Blow-for-senate can count on your vote. I can't give you that kind of information. I can't try to sway your vote."
"What?!?! That's why you called! You are asking for my vote!"

You have GOT to be kidding. Did that really just happen? It's no wonder they can't get my generation and younger out to vote! Everything I see and everything I hear is insulting to the intelligence. They need us to get elected, but they clearly despise and totally under-rate us. What a load of horse manure.
