Where Christmas Trees Go

We took our Christmas tree down on Saturday. (I say "we" but it was really all Scott. I was busy making a dessert to take to a friend's house that night.) We almost got it done before Sam woke up, but not quite. He was very distressed, but we told him it was time. Scott carried the tree outside, and Sam asked, "Are you taking it back to Home Depot?"

I have one more set of pictures. I'm once again on Scott's laptop because mine is currently frozen. I attempted to copy photos from it to a flash drive so I could transfer them to this one. One of these days I'll have time to completely reformat my hard drive. Until then, this will be the story of my life.

Here is the completed hat for Allison, as modeled by Sam. It's definitely a girl's hat.

I had to rip it... er, I mean frog it all when I finished it (see? I'm learning the knitting lingo!). It was WAY too big for her, plus I had run out of purple yarn and the stuff I finished it with looked, as Scott likes to say, "jakey." So I re-knit it at 15 inches in circumference, instead of 18. I hope that isn't too much smaller. It just barely fit Sam, but I'm hoping that's because he has a big head.

Speaking of frogging, I had to frog my sock too. I finished the ribbing section, only to discover that on half the sock, I had gotten the pattern completely messed up. One side was ribbed, one side was a jumbled mess. So I ripped all the way back to my first loop. I cast on again a couple nights ago, and I think I've knit one or two rounds, so there's nothing to show right now. This time I'm being extra careful, which means extra slow. I'll get the hang of it eventually and speed up I hope.

Today I'm headed into my second day of exercise in a week! Yay me! I have had ankle trouble and then could NOT figure out how to work in 45 minutes between naps and nursing and everything else. So finally I tried doing it last week when both kids were down for naps and Elli was still at school, and it worked out well. I finished up right before the bus pulled up. So I'm going to try to do it 4-5 times a week. I currently have only one step video with a stability ball workout for abs, but I'm going to pick up some more hopefully for my birthday. I have some prenatal ones, but I don't need that anymore! If anyone has any recommendations for aerobic, step, pilates, or yoga DVDs, I'd appreciate it!
