Last night I put Sam to bed. He sat down on his bed and in his best instructional tone said, "You know what, Mom? You know when your ear starts to scratch you, you can put your finger in your ear like this. Then you wiggle it back and forth, just like a swing. Back and forth, back and forth. Then it's all good!"

Scott bought new glasses Saturday, for the first time in five years. None of the kids are old enough to remember this ever happening before.
Saturday afternoon, we loaded the kids in the van for an evening activity. Scott told me later, he could tell as he was buckling Anna in that Sam was staring really hard at him, trying to figure out what was different. Scott explained that he got new glasses because his old ones were really scratched and worn out.
Fast-forward to bedtime.
Scott went in to give Sam a good-night hug and kiss. Sam looked at him and said, "Dad? My Thomas sunglasses are getting pretty scratched up. I think I need new ones."

Anna thinks the baby is in my bellybutton. She loves to come up to me, pull up my shirt to expose my belly, poke my bellybutton, and say, "Hi Baby Wuke!"
