Can you tell she's excited? She came home all smiles too, and has shown amazing energy for a girl who spent all day at school! I suspect a bus-ride nap. Doesn't really matter -- I'm just thrilled that she came home happy and that she already has some friends!
I met Elli at school today to help her aides learn to feed her lunch. The first day was pretty rocky for everyone, especially food service, so our plan didn't pan out as we had hoped. But she got her lunch at the usual time and did pretty well with it. I also got to see that one of her classmates from preschool is in her class this year, plus some other girls have adopted her as well. Hurray for friends on the first day!
