Don't these morning glories have the cheeriest faces? They greet me each morning as I wander into the kitchen to start a pot of coffee.
This flower is my biggest success in gardening this year. It is a hibiscus and I managed to get three plants to grow from seed. I will be digging it up and taking it with me when we sell this house!
It's hard to believe I've been writing this for an entire year. It took me awhile to get going -- those first few months were rather sparse on entries. But what an awesome, hot-off-the-presses record of what's happened in our family during the last year!
I am having a lot of fun re-reading some of those early entries and seeing just how much the kids have grown, and what crazy situations we've come through. God is good and has carried us through some dark dark days in the past year. He has also blessed us with many joyful and pleasant days, and continues to grow each of us in exactly the way we need. Above all, I am thankful for His faithfulness and ceaseless forgiveness of this weak, proud, and willful woman (paradoxical to be both weak and willful, but it's true).
