Sam-isms

My son has the cutest quirks in the way he pronounces a handful of words. I wanted to write them down so I don't forget.

Certain words that begin with "m" he either pronounces with the "n" sound or skips the initial consonant altogether. Examples:
  • "The Tigger Novie" pronounced "noo-vee" (Incidentally, Anna has started calling all movies "novies" now too!)
  • "usic" pronounced "yoo-zik" (for "music") or "usical" pronounced "yoo-zi-kul" (for "musical")

Certain words he changes the initial consonant sound completely. For example, "teenage mutant jinja turtle" instead of "teenage mutant Ninja turtle"

He and Anna have rewritten the words to Disney songs, based on how they hear the words.

Annie's "Hard Knock Life" -- Sam sings "It's the heart of life, for us!" instead of "It's a hard knock life, for us!"

I love it!
