Arguments

My kids' favorite things to argue about these days:
  • Are we "home" or are we at our "house?" They argue about this every time we return home from being out, despite my assertions that the words mean the same thing.
  • Who gets to say "no" to the other one? Sam in particular finds it upsetting for Anna to tell him "no." He comes to me at least once a day with the same tragic story, "Anna told me 'No'!" no matter how many times I fail to be impressed.
  • Whose turn is it to choose what we watch today?
  • Can a sibling sit on, or even touch, my chair? It sounds like a war in here if one of the kids tries to do anything to the other one's chair. With the sole exception of Sam carrying Anna's chair up or down the stairs -- as long as he's going the direction she wants him to!
