Knitting Update

I cast on the back of the Trellis cardigan. I've decided to knit it up and then figure out what I need to do to make it all fit together. I've got five rows done, so I have nothing worth photographing yet.

Despite my proclamation, I have not actually done any more on my Jaywalker sock. Time is rather rare these days, and I've found that double-pointed -- well, any kind of knitting needle -- are unsafe to get out with 1-year-olds in the vicinity. Sparkly, semi-pointed, clinky metal objects seem to hold a super-powerful magnetism for 1-year-olds! So my knitting time is rather sparse right at the moment.

My garden seedlings have progressed rather well, despite my soggy beginning. I transplanted the tomatoes into larger peat pots and they seem to be growing, though I'm not sure how healthy they are yet. The morning glories desperately need to be transplated as well - their roots have expanded beyond the confines of their tiny little starter pots.

The seeds I planted directly outdoors have also begun to sprout. Looks like I'll have a nice little bit of garden peas, anyway. I'm not sure about the lettuce, spinach, and chard yet. Their seedlings are so small that I can't find many yet.

It's all very exciting. Spring is here!
