Today at lunch, Sam announced with much grandeur, "TODAY is Uncle Woyce's BIRTHDAY!!!" We quickly corrected him, explaining that just because we went looking for a birthday present for him doesn't mean his birthday is today.
Sam was on a roll.
"Elli is going to have a DORA THE EXPLORER birthday party! And I had a THOMAS THE TRAIN birthday."
I agreed, and then asked about Anna's birthday.
"Baby Nana could have a Baby Einstein birthday!"
What a great idea!
"And Mommy, you could have a NEWS birthday!"
He's certainly paying attention to what everyone likes to watch on TV, isn't he?

The doctor checked Anna out this afternoon, which she actually didn't mind. She talked to him a bit and played with his stethoscope. As he was leaving, she was jumping up and down on my lap and jingling my keys. He proclaimed her the "happiest double-ear-infection I've ever met." That Tylenol must have really worked!
This is her third ear infection in two months. He warned us both that if this continues, we'll start talking about seeing ENTs and getting ear tubes. This threat worked with Sam - he didn't have another infection. Hopefully it will work with Anna, but if not, no biggie. We've been through MUCH worse.
