That's "Two-Bootie Woman" To You

Yup, I finished the second baby bootie two days ago, boxed it up yesterday, and mailed it today. No more "one bootie woman" for me.

Er. Perhaps I should clarify, lest someone think I have two rear ends.

----

I'm getting some help with my job starting tomorrow. My title at work is "co-chair" because I'm supposed to do this with another person. I've been managing the council meetings and the consulting work solo for two months and I'm ready to share. With the kids home from school, it's been tougher to make the time necessary to get my work done and still spend time doing fun summery stuff and get the work of the home done.

So today I spent a couple hours copying and typing what I've been working on for the past 2 months. I want to make sure my co-chair has the same information I do so we can really share this job well. Tomorrow will be a busy day of meetings and orientation for her, and then in a couple weeks, we run our first council meeting together.

We are battling a summer cold. Isn't that an oxymoron? So far Anna and I have it, but Sam started coughing last night and Scott woke up with a sore throat. I am not sure if Elli got it first or if she still could come down with it. I've been very successful at keeping the symptoms mild by taking zinc every 12 hours. But dealing with miserable kids who can't sleep and just want to cling to me all day has been challenging to say the least. I don't do clingy well, especially when I'm tired and busy and not feeling well.

----

I finished cutting the blocks for Sam's quilt last night. At 12:30am. Now I start cutting the strips that frame each block. Once I have some blocks sewn together, I'll post some photos.
